This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data when you use the Shahin Vet mobile app to buy veterinary supplements and medicines with delivery in the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”). By using the app, you agree to this policy.

What data we collect
- Account & Contact: name, email, mobile number, password (stored as a hash).
- Order & Delivery: delivery name, address, emirate, contact number, order items, order history, delivery notes.
- Payments: payment status and tokens from our payment processor (we do not store full card details).
- Device & Usage: app logs, crash reports, device/OS info to keep the app secure and reliable.
- Optional (only if you grant permission): location (to suggest delivery coverage/ETAs), camera/photos (e.g., to add pet images), notifications token (to send order and delivery updates).
We do not sell personal data.
Why we use your data
- Process your orders, take payment, arrange delivery, and provide customer support.
- Send order confirmations, delivery updates, and important service messages.
- Improve app performance, prevent fraud/abuse, and ensure security.
- Comply with legal and accounting obligations in the UAE.
- (Optional) Send marketing messages if you opt in—you can opt out anytime.
Legal bases
We process data under UAE law (including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection) based on: contract necessity (to provide purchases and delivery), consent (for optional features and marketing), legal obligations (e.g., invoicing), and legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement).
Sharing your data
We share personal data only with:
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, messaging, payment processors);
- Couriers/delivery partners to deliver your order (name, address, phone, items where necessary);
- Authorities or advisors when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
International transfers
Your data may be stored or processed outside the UAE (for example by cloud or payment providers). Where this happens, we use safeguards permitted by UAE law. Contact us for details.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (e.g., TLS encryption in transit, access controls). No method is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights

Account & data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and personal data from within the app (if available) or by emailing info@al-awani.com from your registered email. After verification, we will delete or anonymize personal data unless we must retain some information for legal reasons (e.g., invoices and transaction records).
Age
Purchases should be made by individuals aged 18 or older. The app is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date.
